Eight Ball - Bally, 1977

ROMs:
U2: E723-17 (Eight Ball game ROM)
U6: E720-20  (MPU-17 System function ROM)

Earlier release of ROMs for Ballys Eight Ball.

About this version:
===================
By design, Bally game software ignores switches it deems are stuck closed to prevent never ending scoring during games when
this fault occurs. The Tilt switch mechanism is treated the same (in this release) and leaves it open for scoring exploitation.

If a tilt switch happens to get stuck closed (fault condition), the game will ignore it and continue to play and score as
normal allowing the player to use aggessive methods to keep the ball in play for longer ball times.

Alternatively, if a player lifts and holds the front of the machine so the tilt switch mechanism activates but slowly allows
the ball to fall in the outhole, the game will serve the next ball, *clear* the tilt status but ignore the tilt switch until
it's released. So long as the player can keep the machine lifted and tilted, they can slowly control the ball on the playfield
to do whatever they want to rack up points, awards, etc.

The later Eight Ball U2 ROM version "E723-20" fixes this tilt scoring exploit and will not serve the ball from the outhole
unless the Tilt switch mechanism is released. Subsequent Bally games also have this issue resolved.

Other early Bally games known to have this issue are:
Freedom, Night Rider, Evel Knievel
